Discouragement Kills Dreams

Don’t allow discouragement to kill your dreams.

What happened to your dreams? What happened to your hopes? Has something crept in to steal them away? When we allow disappointment and discouragement to fill our thoughts, we lose track of the dreams God gave us.

Discouragement does not come from God. Disappointment does not come from God. Do not allow the enemy to win. God speaks truth and promise. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Heb 11:1) Don’t allow circumstances to guide your trust in God. Faith means that you believe when you can’t see. It doesn’t take any faith to believe what you do see.

Hold on to those dreams. Trust God to be God. He will answer, if you let Him, but it will be in His timing. Trust that His timing is better than you realize. He knows more than you do, even about yourself. Kill discouragement now and thank God for everything He has promised.

As a counselor I have seen how discouragement kills dreams. That’s when I tell them that apathy is actually the opposite of love and as long as you care, there’s hope. People can steal your momentary happiness but they shouldn’t be able to steal yur joy, because joy comes from within. Thanks for your thoughtful post!
