Going To Move Some Mountains Today

Don't try to climb the mountain, move it.

Don’t try to climb the mountain, move it.

What are we supposed to endure through and what are we supposed to see victory in? When I read the Bible, I see Jesus healing the sick, raising the dead, blessing children, then He left and put it all in our hands. Somehow we decided that it was all God’s job to make things better in our lives. We think, if it’s God’s will, then I guess I have to live with this miserable situation. But if we look at Jesus, we see what we’re meant to be doing. Jesus came to make our lives better, not give us strength to patiently suffer through it. I know that sounds simplistic and there are situations where even amazing faith has not fixed the problem, but we are meant to take a stand against injustice in our lives.

If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. (Matt 17:20) Is it just me, or do you read that scripture and feel your backbone straighten up? It makes me look around for a mountain to practice on. We’re supposed to take action against sickness, poverty, loneliness, addiction – mountains that need, that must be removed. If we understood who we are as sons and daughters of the Most High, we would understand that we speak with His authority and His authority changes the world. Nothing is impossible. Let that sink into your spirit, then ask God what you need to do.
