Have You Waited Long Enough?

Waiting on God can change everything.

There are answers to prayer and promises that I have been trusting God in for many years – many, many years. Promises are real to me because I know that God is true and not a liar. He’s the one person who will never lie, so I know that He will do what He said He will do. Like everyone else, I wonder why it takes so long, but I never doubt that He will do it.

One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 30:18, Therefore the LORD will wait that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore He will  be exalted that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of justice, blessed are all those who wait for Him.

I wait for my answers because I know He wants to be merciful to me and the result of waiting is that I will be blessed. It’s hard to wait if you don’t believe you’ll ever see an answer, but when you truly believe that God will never lie, then all you have to do is sit back and wait for it to happen. If you have to wait for a very long time, two things come from it. One – you see the answers to your prayers and promise. Two – you’ve trained yourself to believe that you can wait as long as you need to. He can give you promise for new things that you wouldn’t have the patience to see fulfilled before. Patience in waiting is a huge strength that will open vast areas of faith.

Diana, So true! I have some prayer requests that I lift up day after day. I can not give up on them, but must petition God. I know he holds them in his hands and in his time…
