Looking For Miracles

a miracleA lot of people look at the beauty of life and call it a miracle–a baby’s smile, an amazing sunrise–it’s all good, but not really a miracle. A miracle is something that happens that’s not supposed to happen in the natural. Jesus walked on water. That’s a miracle.

If we live as Jesus lived, we should expect to see miracles. Jesus showed us how. We trust completely in God and do what He tells us to do. Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul. (Acts 19:11) God is no respector of persons, so if Jesus did it and Paul did it, then we can too.

We won’t see the miraculous happen just looking around and wondering what we might run into. God moves with our expectation. You have to expect Him to do miracles. You have to expect that someone will be healed when you pray for them. You have to expect that the need that you have will be met by God in an awesome way.

When Peter went to Joppa and healed Dorcas, it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord. (Acts 9:42) Your faith to expect a miracle can change a city. Imagine that. Don’t wish for a miracle. Ask for it and expect it.
