I’m a baseball fan. I love to watch the catcher look down and think about which pitch to call for next. He only has seconds to decide and his concentration is intense. Then, quickly, he will look up and make the sign to the pitcher. It’s over in a matter of fifteen seconds, but it’s awesome to watch.
I think God loves to watch us like that. He made us with so many talents for a purpose. He wants us to be happy in what we do and He loves to watch us do it, like any good father. And what’s amazing is that, when we give our lives and everything we do to Him, He breathes on it and makes it even better. The Lord will open to you the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. (Deut 28:12)
What’s interesting about that is He will bless all the work of our hands. Not everything we do it fun or interesting. Even if we are blessed to be able to earn a living doing what we love, there is still a lot of work that is mundane and boring, but necessary. God said He would bless that, too. What ever you do, give it to Him and let Him bless it.
