I Know, I Know, Jesus Loves Me

His love has got to change you.

We know that God so loved the world. John 3:16 is probably the first verse we ever learned. It’s in our head like knowing an apple a day keeps the doctor away. It’s easy to think of the reality of the verse as a data point among the many data points in our knowledge base. Jesus loves you. Yes, yes, I know that. I learned it a long time ago. But how has it changed you? Has it changed you?

Zephaniah 3:17 – The Lord your God in your midst, the Might One, will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. If you let the truth of that sink in, it will rock your world. How could you ever be the same again? But there’s only one way for that happen. He can’t quiet you with His love until you find the time to stop. He is rejoicing over you right now. Can you feel it? Only when you sneak away to meet with your Lover will you feel the height, the depth, and the breadth of His love. He sings over you! Wrap your head around that and John 3:16 comes alive. If you claim Him as your Savior, get to know Him as you Lover and start listening to the music of the Spirit.
