It’s easy to remember that the fruits of the Spirit are gifts for us to receive, but sometimes I forget that they are aspects of who God is.
He is loving. He is joyful. He is peaceful. He is patient. He is kind. He is good. He is faithful. He is gentle. He is self-controlled.
When I wrap all that up into one magnificent Being, I start to see Him differently. I start to remember how much He loves me and has my best interests at heart. He is good to me. He sings over my joyfully. He is kind to me and always gentle.
When I see Him by the aspects of His gifts, He becomes more personal, like a kind Father loving and guiding me through life. And then I remember that He put His Spirit in me and is changing me to be like Him, one lesson at a time.
Jesus is my role model. I want to be like Him when I grow up. He’s the part of the Godhead I can put a face on. He is everything that is good and all that I want. My joy is that I will be with Him everyday I live and for all eternity.
