You Are Not Allowed To Hate Anyone, Even President Obama

Pray for him and bless him, as you should.

Pray for him and bless him, as you should.

As a Christian, you are not allowed to hate anyone, not even President Obama. I apologize to those of you who read this blog from other countries. I know there are many people who do, but this issue needs to be addressed, mainly to Americans who feel justified in vilifying our president.

Just as forgiveness is required every time, there is no circumstance when it’s ok to hate or disrespect anyone. (Ok, that’s a good message for anyone, where ever you are.) Jesus said to love your enemies. Bless them. Do good to them. And pray for them.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Tim 2:1-4)

It’s time to repent. It’s time to bless the president and honor him for his office. Pray for his protection and salvation. Pray for his family and the destiny that God has given him. We supposed to be known by our love, so love deeply and truly — even President Obama. God loves him so much.
