Practicing Diligence

Some things take concentrated effort

Some things take concentrated effort

Diligent is defined as: constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything. Something done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking. It stems from Old French, meaning to value.

You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which he has commanded you. (Deut 6:17)

You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently. (Ps 119:4)

I love those who seek me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. (Prov 8:17)

He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb 11:6)

It is true that God will never leave us or forsake us, but He also plays hide and seek. We are called to walk with Him in the garden like Adam, but we have to pursue Him to do that. He wants us to come up higher, nearer. And when we do, we are rewarded in ways that only God can do. What does diligently seeking God mean to you?
