Salvation vs Kingdom

The kingdom of God is here and now

Jesus didn’t preach about salvation, He preached about the kingdom of God. His message wasn’t about not going to hell, it was about living a fulfilled life in Christ. The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Rom 14:17)

God wants so much more for us than we think we deserve. Somehow, we got the idea that all the blessing will come when we go to heaven. But if we are born into the kingdom when we get saved, then righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit are ours today. And not only that, but – Behold, I give you all the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

Living in the kingdom of God is powerful, joyful, amazing – so much more than struggling through life hoping for a cloud and a harp. Taking the word of God for truth opens up a reality that you never realized could be yours. You are meant to heal the sick and raise the dead! That should be normal for us. You’re a King’s kid. Start living in the kingdom.
