The Hardest Change Of All

Father, change my heart.

Giving your life to Christ is the single greatest decision you’ll ever make, but not the hardest. The thing that God is after is a heart like His own, a heart that knows the width, depth, and height of love. 1Cor. 13 is the most important book in the Bible. It is the essence of our walk with God.

We can be so impressed with learning the prophetic. We get up early and go out to feed the homeless. We stay late at prayer meetings because the list of needs is so great. But God wants a heart like His own. We can do all manner of good things for God, and still have a heart far from love. Salvation is done in a heartbeat. Allowing God to change your character takes years. Get real before Him and see how you measure on the love scale, then throw yourself into His Spirit and let Him do what needs to be done. Letting God change your character is the hardest change of all, but the most important.
