What Is The Kingdom Of God?

righteousness peace and joyThe kingdom of God isn’t heaven. It’s the power of God. Jesus said, But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Mat 12:28) It’s a lifestyle. For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Rom 14:17) It is living in all that God has promised, on earth as it is in heaven.

When we receive Jesus as our Savior and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we enter in a realm that should change our lives. First we are made righteous. We confess our sins daily and receive redemption through grace. We live with the freedom that we are born again into the God’s family.

Once we are free of our sins, we receive peace. The peace of God that passes all understanding. The peace that goes deep into our bones and our spirit. The peace that eliminates all stress from our lives. Peace that keeps us trusting in His power.

Then we get the joy. That’s where the real power lives. When we live and breath with the understanding that God wants to bless us thoroughly, to heal, and provide all our needs, we can celebrate our relationship with Him all day long. There’s joy in that!

If you are born again, welcome to the kingdom. It’s going to be fun.
