Watch Where You Point That Tongue

Life and death are in the power of your tongue.

Use your words for good and not evil.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Wrong! For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12. What we say and what we do affects the spirit world around us. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Prov 18:21. Your words can actually be devouring – Ps 52:4.

When you speak hurtful words, you release the enemy to act on them. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. It’s a real thing. When you arm the enemy, he will use it. And it doesn’t matter if you’re just joking, the words came out of your mouth. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Matt 12:37. Makes you want to stop and think first, doesn’t it?

Up next, how your words will bless you.
