Your Goal Should Be A Moving Target

Lord blessAny time you feel satisfied with life, I think you’re in trouble. There’s a difference between enjoying where you are and feeling like you have arrived.

As soon as you stop wanting more from what God offers, you stop depending on Him. Once that happens, you’re on the wrong side of life. Blessing stops when we stop trusting Him. We lay down our weapons and are open to attack and will feel the consequences of it until we repent.

There is so much more available to us. Until we literally live on earth as it is in heaven, we have a lot to look forward to here. But we have to go after it. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. (Ps 84:2) That kind of intense desire for God will ensure a lifelong excitement for everything that He has set aside for us.

Ask Him for more. There is always more revelation, more joy, more connections with the things we love. There are higher realms to explore. Don’t be satisfied with crumbs when there is a feast waiting for you, and you will only find it through intimacy with the One who loves you the most. Run after Him and He will lead you into so much more.
