Do you wish you could hear God talking to you? Doesn’t it makes sense that if you could hear Him, He would know exactly what you need to hear? How awesome would that be?Interestingly enough, God says the same thing. He wants to talk to us and thinks it would be awesome if we listened.
He’s serious about this:
Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say. Ex 4:12
then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them in the good way in which they should walk. 1Kings 8:36
Show me your ways, O Lord. Teach me Your paths. Psalms 25:4
Lead me in Your truth and teach me. Psalms 25:5
Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. Psalms 25:12
Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Psalms 27:11
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye. Psalms 32:8
Teach me Your way, O Lord. I will walk in Your truth. Unite my heart to fear Your name. Psalms 86:11
Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law. Psalms 94:12
Blessed are You, O Lord. Teach me Your statutes. Psalms 119:12
I have declared my ways, and You answered me. Teach me Your statutes. Psalms 119:26
Teach me good judgement and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments. Psalms 119:66
Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. Psalms 143:10
Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. Isaiah 2:3
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. Luke 12:12
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26
Ok, that’s a lot of encouragement that God wants to teach us His way. If we connect with what He wants to tell us, we come into a relationship with Him that is all that our hearts cry out for.
How will He teach you? You can only be taught if you want to be taught. You have to ask and be serious about hearing Him. He’s not looking for a student who will try to fit Him in to a busy schedule. He wants a student who sets everything else aside and sits listening. All the other stuff will get done. It’s like living off the 90% after tithing.
Look at this list of scriptures about how much God wants to guide our lives. If we are not listening to Him, it’s not for His lack of trying.
