Keep A Noble Heart

Believe the Word and bare good fruit

You have to be good soil to bear fruit.

When seed falls on good soil, it can grow a hundredfold. That means that every seed sprouts and produces crop. The seed, of course, is the Word of God. How does the Word fail when we hear it? We don’t believe it. We give a half-hearted attempt to believe it. We try to believe it but get busy and don’t give it priority. We believe it, but we listen to everyone and not everyone is right so the Word becomes distorted. Nothing sprouts. No crop.

Jesus says, But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. (Luke 8:15) A noble and good heart with patience. Want to bear fruit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control? See if you have a noble heart. Noble = indicative of high or elevated character, honorable. The kingdom of God is filled with noble hearts and ripe fruit. Read the Word and receive it, believe it, live it. Be patient and watch a hundredfold harvest.
