What could be worse than not believing God at all? Only believing Him a little. That’s called doubt. Doubt is insidious. It corrupts truth. It’s a lying spirit that says that God does not mean what He says, or He will only answer the prayers of other people. Doubt is a lie straight from the pit of hell.
If you doubt anything that God says is true, then you will never see answered prayer. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. (Jam 1:6-7) If you don’t really believe that God is good, that He died to give you everything, that He put all authority in your hands, than give it up.
Sound harsh? Jesus isn’t impressed with those who sit on the fence pretending to be religious. I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, I will vomit you out of my mouth. (Rev 3:15-16)
Step away from doubt. Cast it out of your life. Pick up your shield of faith and believe impossible things. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (Jam 1:17)
