One of my favorite stories in the Bible is the story of Jehoshaphat. When the enemies Israel gathered to fight, Jehoshaphat and all the people went before God for help. They humbled themselves before Him and declared that God is greater than their enemies.
God spoke to them and said, You will not need to fight this battle. (2Chron 20:17) God promised to take care of them. So Jehoshaphat appointed those who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.
Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah. (2Chron 20:21-22)
How would you like God to fight your battles for you? Wouldn’t you love to see armies of angels released to fight against the things that you struggle with? Look to Jehoshaphat. The victory started with humility. He acknowledged that God was stronger than his enemies. Then he ordained praise and send the worshipers to boldly lead the army. God did the rest.
You can do this too. Humble yourself before God and recognize how great He is. Worship and praise Him. That praise unleashes a power in the heavens to defeat anything that stands in resistance to God. Sharpen your weapon and let the praise begin.
