Wishing, Hoping, Believing

Stop wishing, start knowing

What is it that you want for your life? Do you think you’ll get it? Is it just a wish? A wish is something you really don’t expect to happen, like winning the lottery. Is it a hope? A hope is something that could possibly happen, but without certainty. Do you believe that it will happen? That’s called faith.

All the promises in the Bible are yours. If you want them to be real in your life, then you have to believe that you can have them. For all the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him amen to the glory of God through us. (2Cor 1:20) Is it a promise? Then yes you can have it. Amen means so be it. Done and done.

Settle it in your heart right now that you are a child of God and all His graces are yours. Stop wishing and hoping and start believing. They may not drop into your lap today or tomorrow, they may take time to unfold. That’s what faith is all about, believing for the things you can’t see. Hold onto them and watch. Keep holding and keep watching. At some point, you’ll see that God is pleased with your faith and the blessing will come. Knowing what is yours is the place to start.
