We are in charge of our own state of mind. If we are not, then we’ve handed over control to someone else. If we are always angry, it’s because we chose to be angry. If we are worried, it’s because we chose to be worried. If it’s not of God, then it’s of the enemy and that needs to change.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts. (Col 3:15) You decide if the peace of God will rule in your heart. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Gal 5:22) If you are saved, then the Spirit of God is in you and the fruits of the Spirit are in you. The gifts have been given. It’s up to you receive them
Not only is it unhealthy to live without peace and love in your heart, it’s sinful. We are commanded not to fear. We are commanded to trust Him and live in His peace. If we don’t, it’s because we’ve chosen not to, and that’s just crazy. Repent for holding onto any attitude that is not of God and chose to live in His Spirit.
No matter what’s going on in your life, God is good. He is bigger than any situation. If we trust Him, He promises to answer. Trusting Him means letting go of fear, worry, anger, and stress. Let it go. Believe that God is God and take hold of His joy. When you stop and reflect on how amazing He is, there’s so much to be joyful for.
