Don’t Waste Your Authority

authority in ChristA surprising number of Christians ask for prayer because they feel under attack. They know we have an enemy and that the devil doesn’t play fair, but they don’t seem to know what to do about it.

This is a serious lesson to learn. When Jesus died on the cross, He took the keys of hell. He took away all rights that the devil had on earth. When we become born again, we receive the victory that Jesus won. We have authority over the devil. End of story. We have what he can’t have, authority. If you are born again and you feel that you are being attacked by the enemy, stand up and stop it.

You don’t have to put up with being beat up. Turn around and tell the enemy to stop, in Jesus’ name. The power of heaven is so much bigger than what the enemy has. Release the opposite of what you are faced with. For poverty, release provision. For anger, release joy. For frustration, release peace.

You can run around asking for prayer, or you can use your authority. It’s totally up to you, but I suggest that you take advantage of what Jesus died to give you.
