Not Everyone Is Going To Like You

the kingdom of God is in youNo matter what Jesus did, people knew He was there. He made a lot of people happy and a lot of people mad, and He told us to expect the same.

When we release the kingdom of God around us, there will be plenty of people who feel threatened. The gospel of peace isn’t always welcome, despite the positive affects it brings, and you don’t even have to say anything. Even people who have been healed don’t always seem to feel thankful.

We need to be prepared to respond in grace, no matter how we’ve been treated. Walk the extra mile. Give the extra tip. Your response in kindness could diffuse a tense situation and even release the presence of heaven in a very needy life.

Doing the right thing can sometimes feel like it backfired on you. It happened to Jesus and it will happen to you. Don’t be discouraged.  If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. (1 Pet 4:14) That’s encouraging.

It’s never dull in the kingdom of God. If it is, then you don’t have hold of it with both hands. Don’t go looking for trouble, but if your testimony isn’t well received, you’re in good company.
