Have you ever felt the urge from God to do something or say something and just chickened out? Join the club. For some reason, we obey fear instead of God. We let fear of man overrule what God wanted to do. It’s a sad and unfortunate reality of the Christian life.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. Consider that God actually knows what He is doing. He doesn’t have to tell you why He wants to you say that thing, but you have to know that He has a very good reason for needing it said. It’s probably for both you and the other person.
Being obedient to the still, small voice builds your faith. When you see that God really was behind that urge, you begin to trust it more. And it doesn’t matter if you never know why He asked you to do it. Disobedience is actually obedience to another spirit. Repent every time that happens and ask God to help you obey when He needs you to.
Pretty soon you’ll be looking for way to step out in faith. That’s when the fun starts. You won’t see breakthrough in the big things until you can see breakthrough in the small things.
