Stop Listening To The Lies

The church is full of power.

It’s time for the church to rise up.

The biggest lie of the enemy is that we are powerless. It is his greatest fear that the church will realize her true calling and position in Christ. When we stand in our real authority and release the kingdom of God in love, everything and everyone is effected. There is no power that can stand against it.

The truth is that we are ready now to rise up, because we have everything we need to be who we are called to be: His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. (2 Pet 1:3)  We have everything we need to world changers. The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. (Rom 8:11)

So what’s the problem? Why aren’t we changing the world? Because we listen to the lies. The lies say that we’ll be embarrassed if we say or do anything outside the status quo. Unfortunately, the status quo is letting the world go to hell. The lies say that there is no power in the name of Jesus anyway. The lies say that God doesn’t answer when we call.

It’s time to stop listening to the lies. Rise up church. You are powerful and ready to release the kingdom.

Jesus Is Our Real King Of Kings

Jesus is the One called Faithful and True.

King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True. (Rev 19:11). That is our King of Kings, our King who is called Faithful and True. We love our fairytales because of the prince who comes to rescue and bring safety, but Jesus is real. King of King, Prince of Peace, Emmanuel.

Faithful and True is the One who made us righteous so we could live in blessing and grace. Faithful and True is the One who loves us so completely that He sacrificed Himself to cover our sin. He will never leave us or forsake us. His love is eternal and transforming.

Sometimes I have to stop and contemplate the reality of Jesus. When I look around at my day to day world, it seems incredible that the heavens will open up and the One on the white horse will come to us. It will be the great and terrible day, but I belong to Him and He is mine. It is a day that will thrill my heart because we will see Him in His majesty.

My King who is Faithful and True has wooed me into His kingdom and I will never leave.

The Lamb Of God Is Adorable

the lamb of God

The Lamb of God is adorable.

I always think of the Lamb of God as the perfect offering for our sin. That was the law. It makes sense that if Jesus were to atone for sin, He would describe His sacrifice with what was understood by the culture.

But lambs are adorable. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’ve never raised sheep, but I think lambs are just cute.  They’re sweet. They are almost the definition of innocence. They love to play and bounce. They are completely dependent on their mother for feeding. What’s not to love?

And Jesus described Himself as a lamb. He was without sin, so He actually is the definition of innocence. He was filled with the oil of gladness more than all His companions. (Ps 45:7) He is playful. And He showed us how to be completely dependent on the Father.

I am eternally grateful for my ability to live in grace. To think of the Lamb, standing in heaven as though it had been slain, tears at my soul. That such sweetness was mutilated for me leaves me speechless. His love is astounding and my only response must be to love Him forever.

To God Be The Glory

Jesus

To God be the glory

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling

And to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

To God our Savior,

Who alone is wise,

Be glory and majesty,

Dominion and power,

Both now and forever.

Amen. (Jude 1:24)

Sometimes, you just can’t add to what is already perfect. God is awesome.

What Is Salvation?

what salvationSalvation is not believing in God and going to church. The demons in hell believe in God, and going to church doesn’t save you any more than going to the corner deli. Jesus didn’t preach about salvation. He preached about the kingdom of God.  Continue reading
