What Will God Do With Your Tomorrow?

God has amazing plans for you.

You destiny depends on your faith.

We always want to know the future. Prophetic words are awesome because we get a peek at what God sees in us and what our destiny is. Your tomorrow has the potential to being the beginning of a new season of hope. The question is, how much of it will you give Him?

Your destiny will require you to be hands off in some respects and hands on in others. If you totally trust Him, He can guide you into positioning yourself for what He wants to do. If you do not trust Him, you will miss out on what is yours.

Don’t assume that you don’t have a special destiny. That’s just wrong. You have a calling that is unique and wonderful. You just have to ask God to reveal it to you and trust Him in walking it out. He may need you to stop behaving in a certain way. He may need you to trust Him to open doors for you.

Your tomorrow can be the beginning of wonderful times. Only you will determine if that will happen. God wants to bless. Will you let Him?

It is Always God’s Will to Heal

It is God's will to heal.

God always wants to heal.

When Jesus said to heal the sick (Mat 10:8), He did not qualify it with, if it is God’s will. He said–heal the sick. Why, why, why do we pray, if it’s Your will, God, please heal this person? Did Jesus ever not heal anyone who came to Him? No. He healed everyone. Everyone.

It is God’s will to heal. Why would it be His will to not heal us? Would you do that to your children? Would you ever say, I think this will teach you a lesson. I know it’s hard, but you’ll be better for it.

That is the wrong premise to start with. Always begin with the understanding that God wants to heal. I know the arguments are forming now. But So-And-So believed and didn’t get healed. So-And-So died. I know.

We do not have all the answers, we only have Jesus’ commandment. Heal the sick. We have His example–He healed all the sick. That’s where we have to start and believe. Once you start questioning if it’s God’s will, you have already given territory to the enemy.

By His stripes we are healed. There is too much sacrifice in that to question His will. Yes, God does want to heal and He always will.

God Remembers His Good Works, Do You?

Remember His blessings and answered prayer

Write down all the things God has done for you.

There’s a reason that the Israelites built monuments when God did something miraculous. We forget stuff. We forget important stuff. We need a way to remember the things that matter. When God does something awesome in your life, write it down. Keep a notebook, or a Word file, or something to track the answered prayer and blessings you receive.

Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders and the judgments of His mouth. (Ps 105:5) So it’s not just a good idea, God says to do it. He knows we’ll forget. He knows we’ll get discouraged at some point and need a point of reference to go back to.

Reviewing the good things that God has done will help tremendously when you feel like He’s forgotten you, when everything seems to fall apart. Pull out that list and remind yourself how He moved for you. Look at that list of blessings and your spirit will lift as well. Tell yourself to bless the Lord as you remember what He has done.

There’s power in the testimony. When you repeat what God did before, you set the stage for Him to it again, for you and others as well. God remembers His good works, do you?

God Already Loves You Completely

God can't love you more than He does.

You can’t earn God’s love.

Do you really understand that God loves you regardless of what you do? He loves you when you mess up and He loves you when you are intentionally bad. There is nothing that you can do to make Him not love you.

It’s hard to fully comprehend how much God loves us. He loves serial killers.Yep. He’s grieved by what they do, but if they turn to Him, they have a future and a hope that has always been theirs. We are all made to have fellowship with Him regardless of the decisions that we make.

God will not love you more if you are good. He loves you as much when you are good as when you are bad–which is complete and beyond understanding. That means that you don’t have to perform for Him. You can’t turn perfect love into more perfect love.

God’s love does not make you feel guilty. Jesus didn’t die on the cross to make you feel guilty. He died so you could be perfect in Him and live in His joy. How should you respond to that? The correct answer is–with all your heart.

Let go of any idea that you have to be perfect to be loved. It’s just not true. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Release the Kingdom!

You carry the kingdom within you.

Speak peace to the storms.

If you have the Holy Spirit in you, then you carry the presence of God to change the atmosphere everywhere you go. You know those situations where everyone is tense? You can change that. When frustration seems to be out of control? You can change that.

When Jesus sent the disciples out to practice doing miracles, He said, And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near you’. (Lk 10:9) You carry the kingdom of God with you where ever you go. What is the kingdom of God? Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Rom 14:17)

So all those situations where everyone is unhappy and defensive, you can release righteousness, peace, and joy. Of course, you must have it in you to begin with. Settle your heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to release His presence. Speak peace to the storm. Jesus did it to show you how.

You don’t have to be flashy about it. In fact, if your draw attention to yourself, you block what God wants to do. When the kingdom of God comes near someone, it should affect them. They should feel the peace that you carry.

Feel the presence of God inside, then let Him out!

You Have Nothing To Do With Miracles

Prayer is not about you.

You have nothing to do with miracles.

There are some  things about prayer that we’ve been taught wrong, and it’s probably why so many prayers go unanswered. Basically, it’s not about you, or I, or what we pray that brings the answer. It’s  God.

When we put all our focus on what to pray and how to pray, we are essentially focusing on ourselves. Let’s say we’re praying for someone to be healed. Our well-meant fancy prayer does nothing to bring healing. Our quoting Bible verses does nothing to bring healing. Our sympathy to see that person healed does nothing. And the reason is because we have focus on the problem and our efforts to do good.

Jesus is the answer. Turn your focus to Him. You don’t even have to say a lot. Once you realize that it’s the power of His name to heal, save, and deliver, you take your eyes off the problem and off of yourself. You release Him to act in the situation. It’s not about you. It’s all about Him.

The next time you face a prayer situation, turn away from the problem and turn to the One who has all power. Celebrate His goodness. Be thankful in His greatness to answer. Bless and rejoice. The answer lies in joyful acknowledgement that God can do all things.

Pray Together, Change the World

There is amazing power in praying together.

Agree together in prayer and change the world.

If we only understood the power of agreement, nothing would stop us from changing the world. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. (Mat 18:20)

There’s a difference between standing together and praying and standing together in Jesus’ name. Not everyone is engaged with Jesus when we pray together. No every one has come into agreement with Jesus as Lord. Not everyone who cries Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom of God.

But when we are in right standing with our God and gather together and lift up prayers to heaven, heaven comes down. We actually receive the presence of Jesus when we pray in agreement. The power of individual prayer is amazing, but the power of combined prayer in agreement is massive. It’s not double power if there are two people praying together, it’s exponential power.

That’s why it’s so important to agree together and lift up our needs with each other. A room full of believers calling out to heaven can change history. The power of combined prayer is explosive and is ignited when Jesus comes to be in the middle of it. Be serious in your prayer times because you have no ideas what you are unleashing.

Will You Choose To Obey?

You've been given everything you need.

Will you choose to obey?

We know that as Christians we’re supposed to be good. We need to stay out of trouble and help people when we can. But what do we do with scripture like this: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. (Mat 10:8)

The church has moved so far away from the commandments of Jesus that we think it’s not Christian to follow them. Cast out demons? Raise the dead? Do we believe that? Maybe the better question is, does Jesus lie? If He is true, then we have to face up with what we’ve been told to do.

Freely we have received everything that we need to do what He said we could do. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. It’s His power, not ours. It’s His commandment to raise the dead, not ours. Either He said to do it, or He didn’t. I can turn to Matthew 10:8 right now and see that He told us to do this.

What do you do with that? Will you ignore it and pretend that it doesn’t apply to you? How will you face Him later and explain that you didn’t think He meant it? God’s word is true and He absolutely means what He says.

Wait on the Lord, Learn to Fly!

Resting in God gives you wings.

Wait on the Lord, learn to fly.

Never live another day feeling overworked and burned out.  Our God does not desire that for you. His plan is to bless you every day of your life, but you have to want it.

The secret to blessing is in your intimate time with God. Waiting on the Lord is the same as soaking in His presence and letting Him minister to you. Do this first, before you give Him you list of prayer requests. When you do, you get more than you thought you were asking for.

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up as eagles. they shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. (Is 40:31) Energy, strength, flying time! It’s like filling up your tank every time you sit with Him.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. (Mat 11:29) Jesus is the key to rest. You can do everything you need to do, but when you give it to Him first, He makes it so much easier.

Sit with Him and be filled with rest and strength and have a flying lesson.

God is Always Good, Despite Our Pain

God is good, even when we hurt.

God is good all the time.

When you chose to not be offended at God for situations you weren’t prepared to accept, you gain a victory you would never get any other way.

It’s a bad idea to put God in a box and expect Him to act according to your will. When that doesn’t happen, you’ll be mad at Him for not obeying. That’s the wrong side of the fence. That’s in the camp of, Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. (Mat 7:21)

When situations arise that you are not happy about, you have to know that God is good, no  matter what. If someone dies, God is good. When you can declare that despite your hurt, you overcome a huge onslaught the enemy had planned for you.

God is always good. If you are mad at God, lay it out to Him. Confess that you are mad and give your hurt to Him. He totally understands and He can heal your pain. You’re not going to always understand why He does what He does, but He is always good.

Holding onto offence is poison and it’s going to kill you if you don’t let it go. God is good. There is no end to His goodness. Grab hold of that and don’t let go.
