If You Are Saved, Then You Are A New Creation

You have to be changed to be saved.

Salvation changes who you were into who you are.

When you become a believer in Christ, you become a new creation. Do you feel like a new creation? You’re supposed to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. (Phi 2:12) That means you should fully grasp all that Jesus did for you and take on who He says you are. If you are covered by His blood, you are a new creation whether you believe it or not.

To not realize your identity in Christ is to be misled by the enemy into believing that nothing has really changed. The perception that salvation means that you are who you are, except that you’ll go to heaven when you die, is wrong. You are not who you were. You are new, reborn. Now you are an heir of Christ, seated in heavenly places with Him. Before, you were not.

Why is it important to understand your new identity? Because until you do, you won’t live with the authority you’re supposed to. You need to speak peace to the storms, healing to the sick, and blessing to those around you. How can you do that until you stand firmly in your new skin?

God is waiting for you to take your place in the kingdom. Begin by confirming to yourself that you are born again. Read your owner’s manual and see what you should be doing.

Your Faith Can Command An Army Of Angels

The armies of angels are ready to act on your behalf.

The power of heaven is waiting for your word of fait

Imagine not having to face all the difficulties of life alone. Imagine having the power of heaven at your command–for every difficulty, every storm you have to face in life. By faith, you have to believe that God has you back.

When you belong to God, you are never alone. Not only is Emmanuel always with you, all His resources are with you too. Now imagine that you are facing a difficult situation. Instead of worrying about it, turn around and see the army of fierce angels, lined up in battle array, right behind you. They are just waiting for you to declare your trust in God that He will save and deliver you.

Boom! The angels are deployed and the battle is won. This is not a fictional representation of trusting God. This is Biblical.

And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2Kng 6:7)

You are not alone and powerless. Your faith releases all the power needed to work for you good. All that is needed is your agreement that God loves you and protects you and all that is yours. If only you could see behind the curtain, you would never fear again.

Your Heart Is God’s Holy Of Holies

God in us makes us one with Him.

God made your heart His Holy of Holies.

God does an amazing thing in us when we receive His salvation through the blood of Jesus. Instead of His presence living within the Holy of Holies in the temple, He tore the veil that restricted access to that private place and put His Spirit inside us. He makes our heart His Holy of Holies. He became Emmanuel.

How amazing is that? His presence makes us holy. His love is so great that He wants to be in and part of everyone of us. It’s always been His great plan to have a loving, amazing relationship with His people. We become sons and daughters, grafted into His family and can go to Him boldly, crying Abba Father.

The enormity of this realization is mindboggling. That the God who made all things would make us His Holy of Holies is beyond understanding. Especially when you read any description of God’s throne room. The power of His glory, the angels magnifying His name, the light, the noise–it all sounds hard to take in. And yet, He put Himself in us so we could be one.

God is in us to be everything that we need. If we could really understand that, we would never see Him as distant or uninterested ever again. We would pay attention and listen, because He’s with us.

God Will Always Do What He Says He Will Do

God will always do what He says He will do.

Your faith keeps God’s promises alive.

When God promises something, He means it. So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth. It shall not return to me void. But it shall accomplish what I please, and shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isa 55:11)

In others words, He will do exactly what He says He will do. God’s promises are written in stone. They are yours to take hold of and believe for life. A good way to think about it is to think about God’s promises as sticky tape. When you take hold of it, it will stick to you forever. It’s the best glue in the universe.

The only way a promise will not become real is if you stop believing. Your lack of faith is the only thing that will unglue that sticky tape. As long as you believe, the promises will be everything God says they will be.

Have you let go of dreams and promises because you never saw them happen? Start believing again. Let the promises wrap around you and stick to your spirit. God won’t let go, so don’t you let go. There is a reason for His timing. Just trust Him and hold on. It shall accomplish the thing for which it was sent.

Trusting In God Releases The Power Of Heaven For You

God's power is awesome to protect.

Agree with God and He will protect you.

Who do you think is stronger and more powerful, God or the devil? Satan did not have the power to stay in heaven. He was kicked out. He is not powerless, but he is not equal to the power of God. A small dog may bite and make noise, but it is not a real threat to a German Shepherd.

When we remember the power of heaven, it’s so much easier to trust God’s word. Worry, anger, frustration, fear are all attacks of the enemy. It may help to visualize these as spirits that are whispering in your ear. Now visualize a massively powerful angel from God, fresh from the blazing presence of the throne standing at your side. When you refuse to give into fear, when you rebuke worry, you give the nod to that angel to release the power of heaven against the spirits sent to hurt you. That battle is done. The enemy has no defense against our faith in God.

The next time you find yourself scared, worried, or unhappy, think about the angels that are waiting for you to let them fight. All you have to do is refuse to agree with what is attacking you. Turn your heart to God and claim His goodness. Your faith to allow God to protect you will send the enemy fleeing.

Did You Become A Christian Or A Disciple?

Jesus called us to be His disciples.

Salvation is more than making a decision to be saved.

Jesus never told us to say a prayer and get saved. He said to become a disciple. When we look at the disciples in the Bible, we see that they followed Jesus all over the place. They watched Him work and pray. They saw His relationship with His Father. They were friends.

Jesus wants us all to be that close. We need to know what He taught and how He prayed. We need to have the same relationship with God that Jesus had. None of this is academic. It’s all relational.

If we live the life of a disciple, we will be changed. You cannot be a disciple without changing. You must walk away from the old attitudes of your sinful nature and take on the attitudes of His Spirit—-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, self-control, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness.

When you live as a disciple, you put others first. Your lifestyle becomes one of kindness to other people. Worshiping God becomes your chief joy. He will be the center of all that is important to you. You can’t help but want to share His amazing love and power to heal and bless.

If all you’ve ever done is pray a prayer to be saved, you’re on the right path. The next step is to get to know Jesus. He’s in your heart and in the Bible. Go find Him.

Set Your Clock To God Time

God's timing is perfect.

Set your heart to God’s timing.

Have you noticed that God never seems to be in a hurry? It’s a little annoying sometimes, but that’s because we’ve been led to embrace a fast food culture. We have instant everything. Plus, we have a human nature that is selfish. We want things our way and we want it now.

Once we come into the kingdom of God, we need to allow Him to readjust our soul clock. We need to run on His time, now ours. Patience is a virtue of His Spirit that He put inside us. It’s there. All we have to do is call it out and ask for it to be released in our lives.

We miss so much by being rushed. It is a strategy of the enemy to keep us from fully receiving all that God has for us. Learn to slow down in your spirit, even if you have a hectic life. Allow His peace to set your pace and you’ll be more productive and rested.

We never read about Jesus being stressed for time. His heart was God-focused, not culture focused. Find His peace and patience. Take a deep breath and relax in His hands. He’s got you covered. All you have to is trust Him.

Don’t Let The Good Times Get You Down

Don't allow the good things to distract you from your relationship with God.

A grateful heart will keep you safe.

When bad things happen in our lives, we usually feel that the enemy is beating us up. That happens. But what about the good times? What do you do when everything you asked for comes to you? You’re happy. You’re joyful. You make plans you couldn’t make before. You can become distracted by what is good and begin focusing your thoughts and attention on all the good things and suddenly Jesus isn’t even on your radar.

Then we wonder why God has to shake things up in our lives just to get our attention again. He does what we ask Him to do and then we forget Him. Guard against this. It doesn’t have to happen if you are diligent in your praise and worship, remembering that He is the source of all that is good in your life.

Keep a humble spirit. Remember that everything in this world is transient. Give God the glory for the blessing. Thank Him for everything that He is doing for you. Keep a firm grip on your faith. When things go well, it’s because God has been good to you. Be gracious and grateful.

The enemy is sly and subtle and will use every opportunity to steal your relationship with God. Don’t let it happen.

Be Excellent. Be A Testimoney

Do all things as unto God.

Your best blesses other people.

Do your best and let God do the rest. That means really doing your best. A halfway effort is not impressive to anyone. Jesus said to walk the extra mile. When you do that at work, in your relationships, or whatever you’ve been called to do, you allow God to put the icing on the cake for you.

If you are not doing your best, but expect God to bless your efforts, I’m not sure it’s going to happen. Why would He do what you wouldn’t do for yourself? He’s waiting for you to give your all, then He will take that and make it so much more than you were able.

The kingdom of God is all about excellence. Substandard work by those who call themselves believers is not honoring to God at all. If other people know your faith, then they expect more from you than other people, and rightly so. To do less, to give less in front of those watching your life is a poor testimony.

Be more than you are expected to be. Be the extra blessing that is not looked for. God will honor that and it will speak volumes to others. It is by the kindness of God that people are saved, and your extra efforts show His kindness to people who need to see it.

What Does God Think Of You?

God is constantly thinking the best for you.

God’s constant thoughts of you are of blessing and hope.

It’s easy to assume that God is just like us, only bigger. It’s a natural assumption because the only frame of reference we have for intelligence is ourselves. It’s easy to forget that God is the master of the multitask. He doesn’t need to concentrate on one thing or one person at a time. He can fully engage with each and every one of us at the same time.

God is constantly thinking of us. Remember, He made all of creation so that He could have a people to be in relationship with. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done. And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. (Psa 40:5)

He thinks of us constantly because He loves us so much more than we can comprehend. His desire is for us to be blessed and happy in His care. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer 29:11)

God is thinking of your future and the hope He wants you to have. Stop and consider that. What is God thinking of you right now? Ask Him. If you can understand that, it will change your life.
