I remember being in a church once where we were told to get up every morning and more or less pretend to put on our armor. Pull on the helmet, the breastplate, etc. By doing that, you should be protected for your day. I’m sorry, but I think that’s silly. Continue reading

The Truth Of God Keeps You Safe
Truth is a great piece of armor. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. (Jhn 14:6) When we receive Christ, we receive truth. It’s part of His nature that He puts inside us. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. (Jhn 8:32)
There is freedom in truth because it reveals the lies of the enemy. When ever we feel unsure about anything, all we have to do is ask, “Holy Spirit, is this thing true?” And He will answer. He wants us to trust Him, so answering when we ask is part of the relationship we have with Him.
Truth will keep you out of trouble. It will keep you from following the wrong crowd and the wrong theology. The Bible is truth. If something cannot be supported by scripture, then it’s probably not truth. If what you are experiencing is not blessing or promise, then it’s probably the enemy.
What is truth? Read the word. Scripture will become a filter to your mind. If a bad thought comes into your head, you’ll be able to determine if it is of God. “You are worthless”, is a lie. “You are bless and loved”, is truth.
Walking in truth is part of wearing your armor and it will keep you safe from lies.
